On a day trip, we visited a site called Irente Farms at the top of one of the mountain peaks. Here, they were dedicated to restoring the natural forest. The site us to be used for growing plants, but with the recent decrease in forest it has been decided to be brought back to its glory. They have been planting native plants to the region and disposing of the invasive ones.
We ate lunch in the structure below. For lunch we only had locally grown food.
To support their efforts in restoring the natural environment, they sell food from the reserve.
